Experienced Chief Science Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the biotechnology industry. Skilled in Renewable Energy, Bioenergy, Synthetic Biology, Biomanufacturing, Bioeconomy, Bioeconomy, Chemical Engineering, Thin Films, Bioinformatics, Analytical Skills, Materials Science, Microfluidics and Protein Chemistry.
Mohsen A. Jafari is a professor and chair of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Rutgers School of Engineering, a principal at the Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) and founder of the Laboratory for Energy Smart Systems (LESS). Since 2006, Professor Jafari’s research focus has been on control and optimization of energy systems with applications in Distributed Energy Resources, smart connected buildings, Demand Side Management, and Electrical Vehicles.
As a C-suite executive, Michael has delivered business, finance, operations, and strategy development to a broad range of enterprises. He has: executed successful workouts of several mid-sized companies; evolved old line companies into modern enterprises; consulted to the CEO of a Fortune 50 company; and founded several companies in media, technology and community service.
